Dr. Stadtmauer is a New York native. He is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine training at St. Luke’s Hospital and his allergy-immunology fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine and allergy-immunology. He is an assistant professor of medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Stadtmauer has a strong interest in both patient and physician education. His teaching activities include training allergy fellows at Mt Sinai Medical Center, writing articles for the WebMD physician site (Medscape) and maintaining this website as well as our youtube site.
Dr. Stadtmauer serves on the editorial board of Medscape and is the past chair of the cough committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Stadtmauer’s areas of interest include asthma, latex allergy, chronic cough and sinusitis. He has consistently been ranked among the best doctors in Castle Connolly, New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors in NY Issue” and in “Super Doctors” which ranks the top 5% physicians in their specialty.
Dr. Stadtmauer is passionate about his volunteer work with the Healthright International Human Rights Clinic where he also trains physician volunteers. His work with asylum seekers has been profiled in local and national media. He has a number of publications in the medical literature.
